I’m too busy/lazy to write a proper bio for myself in the first person as this blog’s design demands, so I leave you with my ‘official’ bio.

Dax Pandhi is both artist and technician. His scientific mind prods him to probe, challenge, and invent. The results of these trials are transformed by his masterful eye for composition and story. Dax's innovations in 3D CGI are testament to his deeper understanding of nature's processes and his effective translation of that knowledge onto the digital platform.
Founder of QuadSpinner, Dax is also a gifted teacher. Beyond his book Realism in Vue, he has produced several training tutorials that concisely present his proven methods. "Learning all of this wouldn't mean anything if I can't share it with others." He is also responsible for scores of marketing images for e-on software’s Vue and Ozone product lines, as well as popular breakthroughs in Vue such as his signature HyperTerrains™ technique. His training is used by major CGI studio artists, as well as thousands of freelancers and hobbyists.
Obsessed with hands-on learning, Dax and his partner Cynthia Najim go on expeditions to gather real world data (visual, fractal, and effectual) across the globe and recreate them in Vue.
Outside of his background in traditional art, Dax has built a successful career in technology, ranging from CGI to software programming. Based on his innovative design work and service under his company Nukeation Studios, Dax was awarded Microsoft’s prestigious “Most Valuable Professional” for 3 consecutive years. He is proficient in 8 computer languages and 4 human languages.
