I was looking through some photos from my summer trip to US Northwest. Between Ridgefield, WA and Canon Beach, OR, I got to study an environment that I never get a chance to immerse myself in as much as I would like.
This is image is based on some of the things I saw up there. The rich EcoSystem was divided into four layers – trees, grass, weeds/lavender, and rocks. This shot the scene upwards of 3 billion polygons, but wasn’t too uncomfortable to render. The most enjoyable part for me was the lighting (slightly embellished in Corel PhotoPaint X5).
